I-80 exit closure will disrupt UI-bound traffic

The westbound exit from Interstate 80 to Dubuque Street will be closed for construction and will create disruption for university-bound traffic for the commencement weekend. People attending those events should take the traffic changes into consideration when planning their visits to Iowa City.

The project will close the westbound exit ramp from Interstate 80 onto Dubuque Street (Exit 244). Dubuque Street itself will be reduced to one of lane of traffic going in each direction from Linder Road north of the freeway to Foster Road to the south.

Westbound traffic exiting off Interstate 80 traffic will be diverted to the First Avenue exit in Coralville (Exit 242). The detour will provide for traffic to return to Dubuque Street on the eastbound lanes to the Dubuque Street exit. The Dodge Street exit (Exit 246) will also be available as an alternate route to campus.

Your Diploma:

Degree applicants who complete all of their degree requirements, with no past due charges on their University bill, will have a diploma mailed to them at the DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS they provided on their degree application on ISIS.  Diplomas will be mailed approximately 8 weeks after graduation using USPS First Class.   Students will have until May 9th to update their DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS in ISIS. This address will be used specifically for diploma mailing, only.

If you did not receive your diploma because you did not update your DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS, and your diploma is delivered to an incorrect address, lost, or returned to sender, your Ubill will be assessed a $10 reprocessing/re-mailing fee to send your diploma to you a second time. Be prepared to send a notarized statement confirming your identity, before your diploma can be reissued.

If you submit a forwarding address change to the Post Office, but you do not update your DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS, your diploma will not reach you. The Post Office does not forward UI diplomas.
